John has been in Blood Banking for 22 years. OneBlood is one of the largest blood collection enterprises in the United States that has over 90 facilities in FL, GA, SC, and NC. More than 1 million blood products are provided annually to over 200 hospitals, and also to the National Blood Exchange.
He is a decorated military veteran with 21 years of service in the Navy. His prior military experience with Continuity Of Operations Planning (COOP) brought a new perspective to the corporate enterprise, and he has been an active participant & leader in corporate Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for an additional 22 years.
The BCP Team at OneBlood has fielded numerous real-world events from Industrial Mishaps, Natural Disasters, Emerging Diseases, Vendor Disruption, and even 2 Terrorism Response events.
A Graduate, and Alumni of Pensacola State College, Faulkner State College, Southeastern Louisiana University, St. Leo University, The InfoSec Institute, and McAfee Institute. His studies included Science, Pre-Law, Criminology, and advanced IT Security.
He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information Systems Manager, Certified Data Privacy Security Engineer, Certified Cyber Intelligence Professional, Deep Instinct Certified Engineer, and is a Member of the Association of Continuity Professionals.
