Stop Malware in its Tracks with Crowd-Sourced Threat Intelligence
Tom D'Aquino has been engaged in information security with an emphasis on supporting enterprise SIEM deployments for nearly ten years. His most recent endeavors include educating others in the art of security analysis while evangelizing the benefits of AlienVault's unified approach to information security management aka AlienVault USM. Tom loves to reminisce about the good ol' days of using grep and regex to find suspicious activity in log files and he is always thrilled to brainstorm with you on your own security use cases and initiatives.
VP, Product Strategy
Russell Spitler comes to AlienVault with a strong desire to help the world build more secure systems. After spending years helping to secure the largest financial, military, and commercial organizations, Russ is now working with AlienVault to help bring those same security products to the rest of us. Russ began his career in security at Colby College, where, for his honors thesis, he developed a static analysis engine embedded in the eclipse IDE. He has a BA in Computer Science.
Threat sharing networks have been around for a long time; however they have typically been "invitation-only", available to only large companies, or those within a particular industry. AlienVault OTX is different. It is one of the first (and most diverse) threat sharing networks, open to everyone.
Attend this webinar to learn:
- How threat intelligence is gathered and vetted in the Open Threat Exchange
- How to use the threat data provided by OTX free services
- Examples of the types of threats you can identify with OTX
