    Cindi Carter is the Director of Information Security at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC). She is responsible for building Blue KC’s security operations center including threat management, security monitoring, threat intelligence and cyber defense capabilities. Cindi is also responsible for physical security operations and driving a secure culture at Blue KC through security education and awareness. Cindi is an information technology and security leader with more than 15 years of experience leading large scale strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Blue KC, she spent nearly a decade working at Cerner Corporation.
    Motivating by example, valuing and developing others and grounded in integrity, Cindi serves as a mentor for many students and professionals. Cindi is the founding President of Women in Security-Kansas City, a non-profit organization with the mission to support women in information security at all careers levels. She is also an active member of the Information Security Leadership Forum-Kansas City, an instructor for the Kansas City Chapter of the Project Management Institute, and actively contributes to the advisory councils for several leading organizations in the security industry. Cindi holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems both from Central Michigan University.

    Joshua Bartolomie (CISSP, CRISC, DFCP, CEECS) has almost 20 years of technical and managerial experience within the information technology and cyber security domains. Joshua has worked on and managed programs that range from forensic and security technology evaluation and training all the way to designing and implementing advanced Security Operations Centers and Incident Response Teams.

    In his current role at Cofense, Joshua is responsible for translating corporate business strategies, cyber threat landscapes, and related environmental conditions into cutting edge and actionable cyber security research. Joshua holds a Master’s Degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Digital and Computer Forensics from Champlain College.
