    Mike is a Principal Cybersecurity Consultant and Red Team Services Lead for Revolutionary Security. With over 20 years’ experience in information technology and cyber security, Mike helps organizations strengthen their cybersecurity policies and procedures through penetration testing, IT security analysis, and social engineering assessments. Prior to joining Revolutionary Security, Mike was a red team lead for the Department of Energy and other government agencies. In his role, he performed assessments on critical infrastructure, industrial control systems, and physical access control systems at government facilities nationwide. His background includes being one of the rare assessors to perform penetration testing activities on a live production OT environment for one of the nation’s power marketing agencies with no adverse effects. A regular speaker at industry conferences, Mike has presented at DEFCON for the US Congress and Senate and at the IAEA cyber security conference.

    Mike Petruzzi is a Principal Cybersecurity Consultant and IT Testing Services Lead for Revolutionary Security. With over 22 years’ experience in information management and cybersecurity, Mike is skilled at performing risk assessments, security test and evaluations, and penetration testing of devices and networks to improve an organization’s cybersecurity. Prior to joining Revolutionary Security, Mike was with the Department of Energy’s Enterprise Assessments organization serving 14 years as the Technical Team Lead and Program Manager. There he performed systems analysis, penetration testing, red team testing, and policy and program reviews for most DOE sites. He was also responsible for network architecture reviews and multiple SCADA and ICS reviews and testing. Previously, he served as a cybersecurity engineer for SAIC supporting FEMA, the SEC, USPTO, and the EPA. In addition to being a popular speaker on cybersecurity at conferences such as DOE, SANS, and DEF CON, Mike has co-authored two books on the subject and was an early contributor to the NIST 800-53 security controls and associated assessment procedures.

    Peggy Bresnick Kendler has been a professional writer for the past 30 years. She has worked as an editor, publicist and school district technology coordinator. During the past decade, Peggy has worked on UBM TechWeb financial services technology-centered projects on behalf of companies that represent some of the most prominent names in the insurance, banking, and capital markets technology fields. Peggy has written a recurring department featured in Insurance & Technology since 1996, and she has produced a recurring department for Bank Systems & Technology since 2003. From 1998 through 2001, she served as editor-in-chief of School Technology Market Report, a bimonthly newsletter for school district technology leaders. Peggy formerly was manager of communications for the American Insurance Association's Service Group. She has also worked in the IT area of Dun & Bradstreet, where she reported directly to the director of IS planning and consulting. Peggy holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Skidmore College, a Master's degree in education from Sacred Heart University and a Master's degree in educational technology from Fairfield University.
